Postcard Pals: Let's Get Analogue

Everyone wants to be part of a community. But with social media platforms crumbling, what is the future of 'community'? Here at Postcard Pals, we'd like to set up something different. There's no chat, no forum, no grandstanding, no shouting into the void. Just the option to sign up and get a postcard from someone who cares.

Simply go to the 'sign up' page, enter your details, and we'll send you all the details you need to get started.

 We will be launching the Postcard Pals project in phases, so that we can monitor interest, and develop some strategies around privacy:
 

Phase One

Sign up using the form on the Sign Up page and your details will be entered into our central database. Initially, all subscribers will receive a personalised creative postcard from us (hello!). The first batch of postcards will be sent out in January 2023 - thank you for bearing with us!   

Phase Two

We will set up a Postcard Pals PO Box once we have enough subscribers, and will be in touch so that YOU can send someone else a beautiful, creative postcard. Our one rule? Make it creative.
 

You don't have to create a piece of art, but we'd love it if you could give your postcard a little something special. Write a tiny poem. Share a cherished memory. Craft a mini story.
 

Phase Three

Who knows what Phase Three looks like just yet! A digital archive? An online meet-up? A big, beautiful creative project? We’re open to all possibilities and look forward to exploring them with you. Let’s see where we go. Thank you for coming along for the ride.
 

If you’re raring to go and want to send us something of your own right away, please send a high-resolution scan to hello@postcardpals.co.uk, letting us know if we have permission to a) send it to someone else and/or b) display it on our website. Just make sure no personal details are visible!
